An experience rooted in our story
Our kitchen has been in the family since 1956, and we have been hunting truffles on the hills of Savigno for over thirty years. We find them in the woods, bring them into the kitchen and use them in our family recipes.
During the experience you will not watch a show built for tourists: you will enter the real rhythm of the hunt, meet the dogs, hear stories and curiosities, and discover why every season, every terrain and every truffle is different.

For a first encounter
A walk with the truffle hunter
A walk in nature to see up close the work of the truffle hunter and watch the dogs during the search.
Duration: about 1 hour 30 minutes
The experience includes:
- Walk through truffle-bearing woodland with an expert hunter
- Truffle hunt with the dogs
- History, curiosities and stories about the truffle
Price:
€200 in total for groups of 1 to 6 people
€30 per person for groups of at least 7 participants
To continue with a tasting
From the woods to the tasting
After the walk, the story continues at the table with truffle specialities, typical local products and a glass of wine to match.
Duration: about 3 hours

€60 per person, for groups of at least 7 participants

From the woods to the table
A day with Lina
The most complete experience, designed for those who want to discover the truffle where it grows and then find it again in traditional Bolognese cooking.
Duration: about 4 hours
Participants: maximum 6 people
The experience includes:
- Walk and truffle hunt
- Cooking class dedicated to fresh Bolognese pasta
- Lunch at the trattoria with a truffle tasting menu
- Pairing with local wines
Price:
€400 for the group (walk and cooking class) + €60 per person (lunch)
Up to 6 people. For example, for two people the total is €520.
Fresh truffle is not included: it is charged separately according to weight and the season's price, usually between €30 and €60 per person.
For a longer stay
A stay in the woods of Savigno
A proposal for those who want to experience the nature, flavours and hospitality of the Bolognese Apennines at a slower pace.
On request we can arrange:
- An overnight stay in a local agriturismo or B&B
- Breakfast with local products
- A truffle hunting experience
- A fresh Bolognese pasta cooking class

For those who want more
Prima dell'alba
A morning as a truffle hunter for one or two people: we leave an hour before dawn and walk for four hours in the woods with the truffle hunter and his dogs. Demanding, on purpose.

Where does the experience take place?
Activities take place in Savigno and the surrounding area, on the hills of the Bolognese Apennines. The meeting point is communicated when we confirm.
When can I take part?
Truffle hunting is forbidden in May and from 15 August to 30 September: in those periods we do not organise outings in the woods, but we do offer cooking classes and tastings. In the other months the experiences depend on the truffle season, ground conditions and the hunter's availability: for this reason the date must always be checked in advance.
Is the experience suitable for children?
Yes, truffle hunting can also be enjoyed by families. Tell us the children's ages and we will assess together the route and pace that suit them best.
What should I wear?
We recommend comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking on paths and natural ground. In case of rain or wet ground, waterproof shoes can be useful.
Can I take part with allergies or dietary needs?
Yes. When you write to us, tell us about any allergies, intolerances or specific dietary needs. We will check which adjustments are possible.
What languages are the experiences held in?
Experiences are held in Italian and English. If your group speaks another language, let us know when you write and we will see together what is possible.
What happens in case of bad weather?
The hunt takes place outdoors. If the weather is not suitable, we will assess together a new date or a possible alternative.
