Raviole dolci con composta di frutti di bosco

Sweet ravioli with berry compote

Ingredients:

  • 400 g flour (choose your preferred type, whole wheat is also fine)
  • 250 g sugar
  • 100 g butter (if you prefer not to use butter, add 200 g oil + 45 g milk)
  • 125 ml milk
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • grated zest of 1 untreated lemon
  • 1 sachet of vanilla baking powder Lela for 1/2 kg
  • 1 or 2 jars of berry compote Lina Sapori e Delizie

Preparation:

  1. moisten the sugar with 1 tablespoon of water and work it with the butter (at room temperature) until you get a cream
  2. add the eggs, milk, and grated lemon zest
  3. gradually add the flour sifted with the baking powder from the sachet
  4. knead everything very well
  5. form a loaf and flatten it before wrapping it in cling film
  6. place it in the refrigerator to firm up for at least 30 minutes (the longer you leave it, the better)
  7. take the loaf from the refrigerator and place it on a cold, floured surface
  8. with a rolling pin, beat the dough to soften it without heating it
  9. roll out a sheet about 2-3 mm thick
  10. with a round cookie cutter (choose your preferred diameter), cut the dough to obtain many discs
  11. knead the excess dough again and repeat steps 9 and 10 until all the dough is used up
  12. add a little compote to each dough disc
  13. fold each dough disc in half to obtain the classic raviola shape
  14. press the edges to prevent the compote from leaking out during cooking
  15. place the ravioles on a baking tray lined with baking paper (or, if you prefer, butter and flour the tray and place the ravioles directly on it), spacing them well apart
  16. bake in a preheated static oven at 180° until the ravioles are lightly golden and then remove them from the oven
  17. let cool in the pan
  18. when the ravioles have cooled, remove them from the mold and transfer them to a serving plate
  19. your berry compote ravioles are ready to be enjoyed!

Tips:

  • to please everyone's tastes, you can fill the ravioles with different compote flavors
  • to decorate the ravioles, you can sprinkle them with icing sugar or a handful of cinnamon powder.
