Colorful Crostini with Red Sauce, Olives and Capers (VEGAN Recipe)

Ingredients
- sliced homemade bread (about 1 cm thick)
- 1 jar of Lina's artisanal red sauce by Lina Sapori e Delizie
- pitted black olives (sliced or halved)
- salt-cured capers (rinsed under running water)
- extra virgin olive oil
- dried oregano (optional)
Preparation
- lightly toast the bread slices on a grill, in the oven, or in a pan until golden and crispy
- if you prefer the sauce warm, gently heat it in a pan over low heat
- arrange the toasted bread slices on a serving platter
- generously spread the red sauce on each slice of bread
- scatter the sliced black olives and rinsed capers over the red sauce
- drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and, if you like, a sprinkle of dried oregano
- serve the crostini immediately to enjoy the contrast between the crispy bread and the flavorful sauce.
Tips
- you can rub a clove of garlic on the toasted bread slices before adding the sauce for a more intense flavor
- fresh chopped basil or parsley can add a touch of freshness to the dish
- a small shaving of Pecorino Romano or diced feta can further enrich the flavor.
