Tasty crostini with friggione, mozzarella and fresh basil

Ingredients
sliced homemade bread (about 1 cm thick)
1 jar of artisanal Bolognese friggione from Lina Sapori e Delizie
fresh mozzarella (such as fior di latte or buffalo mozzarella)
fresh basil to taste
extra virgin olive oil to taste
salt and black pepper to taste
Preparation
- Lightly toast the bread slices on a grill, in the oven, or in a pan until golden and crispy.
- If you prefer lukewarm friggione, heat it gently in a pan over low heat
- arrange the slices of toasted bread on a serving plate
- generously distribute the friggione on each slice of bread
- Cut the mozzarella into thin slices and arrange them on top of the friggione
- Season with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of salt (if necessary, the friggione may already be tasty) and a grind of black pepper.
- decorate with fresh basil leaves
- Serve the crostini immediately to best enjoy the contrast between the warm (or lukewarm) bread, the tasty friggione, and the fresh mozzarella.
Advice
- For a more delicious touch, you can put the crostini in a hot oven for a few minutes until the mozzarella melts and becomes slightly golden.
- If you like, you can rub a clove of garlic on the toasted bread slices before adding the friggione.
Enjoy your meal!
