Tasty crostini with friggione, mozzarella and fresh basil

Ingredients

sliced homemade bread (about 1 cm thick)

1 jar of artisanal Bolognese friggione Lina Sapori e Delizie

fresh mozzarella (such as fior di latte or buffalo mozzarella)

fresh basil to taste

extra virgin olive oil to taste

salt and black pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Lightly toast the bread slices on a grill, in the oven or in a pan until golden and crispy
  2. If you prefer the friggione lukewarm, heat it gently in a pan over low heat
  3. Arrange the toasted bread slices on a serving plate
  4. generously distribute the friggione on each slice of bread
  5. cut the mozzarella into thin slices and arrange them on top of the friggione
  6. season with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of salt (if necessary, the friggione may already be tasty) and a grind of black pepper
  7. decorate with fresh basil leaves
  8. Serve the crostini immediately to best enjoy the contrast between the warm (or lukewarm) bread, the tasty friggione and the fresh mozzarella.

Advice

  1. for a more delicious touch, you can put the crostini in a hot oven for a few minutes until the mozzarella melts and becomes slightly golden
  2. If you like, you can rub a clove of garlic on the toasted bread slices before adding the friggione.

Enjoy your meal!
